Is there a way to clean fitted hats?

Question:I have a white New Era hat that needs to be cleaned. Is there a way of cleaning the hat or should I just invest in a new one?

At Walmart they sell this plastic cage that you can put your hat in so it will not loose it's shape and then you can throw it in the washer or dishwasher. The dishwasher works best. You can find it in the aisle with the laundry baskets and hangers.
