Check your local Pawn shops, they test these items before they loan money on them. If you know what brand your looking for that helps. You can usually save about 50.00 on an item like this.
Get a Sharp. They are awesome and very quiet.
Dirt Devil Jaguar Bag less Upright. I bought one from Target about a year ago and I love it, it was about $80. It sucks up everything. I didn't realize how dirty my carpet was until I got this vacuum.
I used a Fantom Fury for years and loved it. They're pretty cheap if I remember right. I bought a Dirt Devil once and had terrible luck with it--only used it maybe twice before giving up on it. Now using an old hand-me-down Panasonic and it's pretty good as well. I still think my favorite was the Fantom because it was bagless.
