no
Absolutely not.....
Committing a culinary crime are we??
oooo no! they will ALWAYS b there
OK, WHO DID YOU KILL?
What are you trying to cover up?
It depends on how much elbow grease you use and the surface of the object they are on.
Ummm...yes? Why do you ask exactly?
Unless you are using sulfuric acid to wash your dishes :)
You are pretty safe, most dish washing soaps these days are actually helpful for your skin.
Don't try to get out of doing your chores.
That's not true. Otherwise there would still be the fingerprints of every single person who ever touched the dish! And what are those prints staying embedded in? Oil, dirt, bacteria? C'mon. Unless the dishes are made of clay that hasn't hardened fingerprints can be washed away.
Interesting question... for someone who just stole a set of China!
My guess is that fingerprints are left behind by the grease on your fingers. The grease on the ridges make better contact on a surface than the grease inside the crevices of the fingerprint. By this, forensics experts can extract the pattern of ridges and crevices which comprise your fingerprint.
Now, because it's your greasy fingers that are leaving behind the prints, my guess is that in the dishwasher, detergent and hot water will break down all of the grease, and hence the fingerprints too.
So, my guess is YES... washing dishes should remove prints... however, I'm still betting you'll be losing sleep at night, until you return that set of hot dishes back to its rightful owner. ;->
