I prepare my coffee before I go to bed and set the automatic timer?
Question:Does it affect the pazzazz by sitting all night?
Answers:
If it doesn't brew until morning, you're fine. Be sure you empty the pot--coming down to an overflowing coffeemaker because I was tired when I made tomorrow's coffee is no way to begin the day!
Maryn, clicking coffee mugs with you
put a few ice cubes in it !
The pazzazz doesn't start till the water and coffee grounds are combined. If you cooked it at night and left the maker set to warm then you might Increase the pazzazz, but not weaken it.
It will be perfectly alright, however I grind beans and prefer to grind them when I wake up, for I like the smell of fresh ground coffee and the taste
I grind my beans the night before and set the automatic timer, too. As far as I can tell, the only thing that's affected is the time I have to get out of bed. I can sleep a little later knowing that the coffee will be ready when I get up! I love my automatic timer!!
Hmm...logic dictates " It has to be alright; otherwise, what would be the purpose of the Timer. "
Nope, I do the same thing. In fact I have tried it both ways and letting it sit in the coffee maker all night tastes better.
I do it all the time I think just over night it would be just as good.
Maybe use a little colder water too.
Nope. Dry coffee grounds waiting for the timer to start brewing or dry coffee grounds in the air tight container has same strength. Nothing happens until the water starts mixing with the coffee grounds. We use ours with timer all the time and we are coffee aholics and know bad coffee when we taste it. To keep coffee freshest, keep in refrigerator before setting up for your timer.
If the dry coffee grounds set out for a few days, could give a slight difference. However, we even measure out grounds in several filters & stack them in a glass bowl in advance to easily set up one pot after another. But we don't set up more than for 2 days at a time.
