Adding bleach to a front load washer?

Question:I recently moved to a new place that has a relatively new front load washer, but no bleach dispenser. I rarely need to bleach clothes, but once in a while I do. How do I add the bleach to the wash manually?

Answers:
You are aware that bleach is not necessary? Its bad for the environment and that is why new machines do not have a dispenser tray for it. If you must bleach soak the items in a tub like they did in the olden days. Why don't you just use the following if you want white clothes.

Boil clothes in liquid washing agent for 45 mins - 1hr. Then wash as usual.

That's odd; my front loader (kenmore) does have a bleach dispenser. When I do use bleach, I only add a very small amount. I wonder if you could put the bleach into the liquid detergent dispenser, with some water so it doesn't splash onto your clothes full strength?? You would also have to know when in the cycle, to add the bleach. I would contact the manufacturer on this one- most of those companies are helpful. Good luck!
If you keep an eye on the panel of time, etc., at a certain time there will be a flashing indicator to add bleach (for about one min). Same for liquid fabric softner (if you use that). For me, I have found that for bleach, the flashing indicator comes on at the 26 min. time. You pour the bleach into the soap dispenser compartment, and the water will enter to wash it down into the washer.
Take care.
