Getting Dry Erase Marker off an Electronic Keyboard?
Question:I'm teaching a rock keyboards class at a day camp for kids. For some of the younger kids, I mark the notes of a scale or chord with dry erase marker on the plastic keys to help them learn. We used a small blue one which came off just fine. Then I used a normal size red one, which doesnt seem to come off. We have tried:
water
soap
soap+water
the EXPO solution for erasing whiteboards
sanitary wipes
None of them worked very well. These keyboards are borrowed and will most likely be sold when the camp is over. We cannot sell them with the marks, so does anyone know how we can get them off?
Answers:
Try windex. I use that on my white board and it cleans the dry erase marker off of it very well.
hairspray takes everything off, even permanent marker. try that
Try some rubbing alcohol...=)
If the marks won't come off with alcohol then try "Brasso". It polishes off marks on plastic, but don't use "Brasso" on clear plastic. Try it in a small spot first.
Try wd-40 or a Mr.Clean magic eraser.
