I left my food cooking and forgot it,now my house ricks.. how can I get the bad burn smell out my house?

If you have central air conditioning, the smell is likely circulating through the house through the air filter. Go to Wal MArt and buy a charcoal activated filter which does wonders in removing odors from the air. Do this in combination with Febreeze air effects and a few candles. I did the same thing about two weeks ago, I can entirely sympathize with your situation.
I'd let candles burn during the day, while at home; blow them out at night, re-light them while at home the next day it may take several days but this should work.Also use could use air freshener.
1/2 water, 1/2 white distilled vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray it throughout the house. Then open the windows and turn on the fans. It also works great when cleaning furniture and carpet.
Put some vanilla in water a small pan and put it on the stove with a low flame.
Make sure you watch the pan so it won't boil over or burn.
Put about 3 cups of bleach in a bowl put it in your return air opening on the floor and let your air system circulate it through out you house .. change every 2 days.. I do this for odors but also I have three kids and it seems to help especially during flu season. or when they bring viruses home.. The vanilla on the stove works well also
