Does a Rug Doctor really work?

Is the Rug Doctor carpet shampooer really all its cracked up to be? And if what is? I am trying to get rid of urine stains in my dining room from my harsh pooch. Any suggestions?

Answers:    Yes, they are pretty good... I work at Lowes and Im planning on renting one when the store opens.... Its costs almost $25 per day and you dont have to use RUG DOCTOR soap.. Any category of "machine" soap for rug cleaners will work... Ive use some commercial machines like the Bissell and it just didnt work properly... Ive found that a wet/dry shopvac works amazingly, very well contained by areas that are "spotted".... Just remember to take out the paper filter inside previously you use it for wet applications.... Apply pretreater to the area and rinse near cool water... Keep using the tools to extract water and the stain... It may transport some time but, if its just one area. You can also capture a special cleaner made just for pet accidents. We supply one at LOWES but, I cant remember the name..Its like a NATURES MIRACLE type product and it wasnt that expensive.. Its enzyme base so the stain gets "eaten" away by proteins... . * Im setting up and opening a strange store- Im new to the company!

That might make your pooch smaller quantity persistant in the that spot... Also, sounds silly but, put down a large piece of aluminum foil on the spot AFTER its done person cleaned.. They dont like the feel of it on their paw and will avoid the area...
The only problem I own had with the Rug Doctor gadget is that it really soaks your carpet. I bought a Bissell steam cleaner for under $150 and it works far better and dries within less than 3 hours! Now whenever I have a stain I in recent times grab my own machine and the stain is gone! I also use it on the carpet in my vehicles and on my sofas. It comes near an upholstery cleaner wand. The solution is also less expensive than the Rug Doctor. Good luck! Try whit a analysis in a Laboratory, when you are surrounded by the water, opening the grief to hear running the weather after sure you urine well.
madmarv:yes but spray resolve carpet on it first or windex as for pooch try putting dogie pad in other room and house break pooch to use pads not hearth rug.
