I need to wash something with permanent marker on it and i don't want it to come off. how do i wash it?
Question:permanent marker.
Answers:
If its permanent marker, it wont come off anyway. Although it can fade after many washes. I always label my kids school clothes with one, cant be doing with sewing the little labels on!!
Then its not permanent marker.
Look up the word permanent-that should give you a clue!
did u try using nail varnish remover i heard tat pretty helps (it's not only for removing nail polish) tats wat i found out. lol
I assume it is a signed school shirt or something like that, try a small corner first in water and w.pdr and if it is ok try washing it on a cool wash, I would probably take it to the dry cleaners just to be on the safe side. Good Luck.
Soap and water, permanent marker only dissolves in an organic solvent. Its called permanent for a reason.
erm...if its permanent marker its not gonna come off!
I would say either hand wash it with a very mild soap; or put it in the washer on cold/cold with very little soap on a gentle cycle.
Good luck.
try white board cleaner, you can find it at office depot without getting the whole set of dry erase markers. it works pretty well most of time, but also depends on the material of that "something" you are trying to clean. you can also try Magic Eraser, that's a really cool stuff, cleans a lot of stuff! just make sure you treat a small area first before you treat the whole thing...good luck
if it is like a tee shirt, then turn it inside out, with the permant marker side on the inside. It will fade eventually though. But my hubby drew his softball number on his tee, cause no funding for military softball...and it has been on over a year, some fade to the number, but keep washing it inside out!
Wash on a cold wash , or wash by hand , turn the garment inside out, and it will be fine.
if it's permanent marker then it won't wash off.
