Line dried clothes smell better than those in the dryer.
In Florida, you aren't allowed to hang clothes outside in most neighborhood developments. Not even in your own backyard.
Yes I line dry my laundry and I am an asthmatic. The simple thing to do, and a great cost saving, is to put your almost dry clothes in the dryer and blow out all the pollens etc thru the filters. Line Drying your washing is the best way to kill harmful bacteria etc, especially in your underwear. Baby clothes in particular are best dried in the fresh air with plenty of sunshine. If your worried about pollens etc, try out the dryer for the last 5 or ten minutes of drying. It works fine for me.
Good luck.
I line dry some of my laundry in my basement. Takes a little longer but it would be away from your allergies. Saves money also.
Hi, I don't have any allergy's, so I do dry some clothes outside. If your Doctor says you shouldn't , than those must end up in your clothes. I dry thing like my jeans, I don't dare risk them shrinking anymore in the dryer,if they did I'd never get them on. At the price of jeans today, $60-$80.00, you'll always see them hanging out. I feel real funny if I can't get into my size 2 jeans,so out on the line they go! May be if you have a window that the sun shines into, you could get one of those retractable line, and put in in front of that window! Bye
Whenever I have a chance i take them out to dry, and when they come in all crunchy i give them a quick air fluff in the dryer. as for the mold and crap floating, my mom hung all of our stuff on the clothesline all my life and it hasnt killed me yet, maybe you are more susceptible to it because you have allergies. good to know though.
No, I dry them in the dryer, but love to hang sheets outside to dry. I don't have allergies thankfully. =)
no they are not soft enough after a line dry
