Whats the best automatic dishwasher detergent for hard water?
Question:I have a problem with my glasses. There are spots that I have to literally scrape off the inside of the glasses. Or I have to soak all my dishes before they go in to the dishwasher. What can I do for this. I am having to put 1 cup of Baking soda in with the dishes to even get them clean.
I have tried Electrolsol tabs and cascade pillows with the dawn. I have also tried the Cascade liquid with the bleach... it works and then there is a a build up of some sort.
I was sent a product to sample in my home, it was electrolsol but it worked like a dream. I tried the Electrolsol on the shelf and well it didn't work the same. Is there more then one kind of electrolsol? That was the best stuff!
Thanks!

I had the same problem when we relocated 3 years ago. It drove me crazy until I tried Cascade Complete. It's a little more expensive than regular Cascade, but well worth the money and no need to add Jet Dry or any other product.
I spent a lot of money and plenty of elbow grease trying to get rid of the hard water spots on my dishes. I thought my glasses were ruined, but the Cascade Complete took all the spots off and the dishes really shine. I won't use anything else with this awful water we have.
Maybe try Jet Dry ... I have hard water and I use Electrosol and don't have a problem, however I'm not fanatical about spots on my glasses.. .
Use the electrosol w/ Jet dry ball . it works well. I use it and don't notice a problem.. At BJ's it's around $8.00 for 85 tabs...
u can either try during or after the dishes r done. a cup in a bowl sitting on the top shelf w/ white vinegar.. that's what i have to do.
i do it AFTER the wash(works better 4 me) & run the RINSE cycle & it gets everything spot free
Had the same problem and put in a charcoal filter system and a water softener and things are much better, if you cannot get these just do dishes in the sink you really have no choice because the products you named are as good as you are going to find. Sorry.
Instead of using Jet Dry I put white vinegar in the dispenser. It really works. The smell is a little strong, but since it works I don't complain.
Good Luck.
