Whats the easiest way to locate bad smells in a house?
Question:The smell has been going on for 5 days, when I use the air conditioner inside the house the house smells like a dead animal. I turned it off and used two portable air conditioners and it took the smell out some. I fogged the bottom of the house went into the crawlspace and towards the back of the house I found a decayed cat. It looked like it had been there awhile but I covered it with limestone and tried to bury it the best I could. The smell stayed away for a day but when it rained it came back worse than ever. I also have a leak underneath the house as well, could the smell be stagnated water?

You should throw the cat away. The leak could be stagnant water and mold also.
I would check for molds growing somewhere. I would call someone and tell them just what you told us. You need a professional for this!
