HELP! I spilled melted margarine on my microfiber sofa!! Any suggestions how to remove the stain?
Question:The sofa is an orangey-brown, just about two years old. The covers do not come off the cushions, so putting it in the wash machine is not an option. I tried a carpet cleaner, which seemed to work okay, but you can still see the faint outline of the stain. Is there anything else I can use?
Answers:
I also have a micro suede sofa, try shout, put it on, and scrub the stain around with an old toothbrush, I found you have to clean the whole cushion though or it does leave a ring mark. I use shout on any stains(i have two little kids), and then shampoo the whole cushion, if you don't have a shampooer, use the shout, then take a damp cloth and wipe the whole cushion. It will go back to being soft then.
There is one of 2 products things you can try, the first product is named: "Awesome", it removes anything, spray it on, scrub it with a brush, the stain is gone!
Or you can use hand cleaner that is used for removing car grease. You can buy it at an auto parts, but it will leave a smell, I say "Awesome" is best, removes everything, no residue.
