Best sweeper for dirt on linoleum kitchen floor?

Question:My husband has a workshop behind our house and the office is in the house, so the dirt he picks up on his boots walking from the shop to the house several times a day ends up all over my kitchen floor. It drives me nuts. I currently use a swiffer sweep n' vac, which is ok, but i dont think it has enough suction to really get up all the dirt. What's the best sweeper to use daily to pick up dirt?

I have a messy husband and a dog that sheds. I also have ceramic tile flooring throughout my house, so I was having to sweep every single day. So I know what you mean by "it drives me nuts". I finally resorted to buying a Roomba from www.irobot.com. I turn it on when I go to bed at night and when I wake up in the morning my floors are hair and dirt free. I spent $175 purchasing it, but it has totally paid off. Just thought I'd give you some "food for thought".
