How do I get candlewax out of my carpet?

Question:My cute, yet annoying, kitten knocked over a burning candle. The wax went everywhere!! There are spots of wax all over my carpet.how do i get them up?

Answers:
get a plain brown paper bag and an iron.set to the lowest setting and iron it out. it works!!!

Ice.
use an iron
Take a piece of cloth that you no longer use and press it between the carpet and a semi hot iron. This will melt the wax and the cloth will then absorb the material. It may not get out all of the wax, but it is a start.
use a palet knife apply a little presure and scrape it away make sure its dry first !!
the best way i have ever learned, is to take paper toweling, place over the spot, use a warm - not hot - iron, and melt the wax, which is absorbed into the paper towel. color from dye is another issue and would depend on the color and composition of the carpet.
try using ice that always works.
First, let it cool and get as much as you can out with a dull knife. Next, try a little peanut butter. Then use a cleaning agent like "spotshot" (which if you don't have with a kitten you should get.
I think the iron and paper tip would work well on candle wax since it is a solid. I once spilled an entire package of that semi liquid wax you use for leg waxing onto my carpet. What a sticky horrible mess that was! I sopped up as much as I could with an old towel, but it was all stick stuck there in the carpet like gluey honey so I boiled some water in a tea pot and grabbed an old bath towel. I kept alternating between pouring the boiling water on the glob and then sopping it up with the towel. I eventually got it all out!
Take a brown paper bag and use an iron on the hottest setting. Iron the brown bag and the wax should be soaked up by the paper bag. Good Luck.
