Washing machine overflowed?

Question:i have a GE LoadWasher model: WBSR3140D. The problem of the washer is that the water level does not set to its desired level... the water keeps filling and filling the washer and eventually will overflow. i need help asap.. THANKS.

the solinoid switch is bad. woops i probably spelled it wrong, but thats it.

I was thinking there may be a reset button on the water level, mine has one but it's a kenmore. That might help you. Sorry if it doesn't.
