How can I remove nasty rust stains from my bathtub??
Question:I have horrible rust stains on the corners of the bath tub from where a shaving cream can sat. Any suggestions on removing it? I've tried Comet & Lime-A-Way...

There is a product for boats called star brite it is used to get rust off just about anything even if it has been soaking in salt water and it won't harm the surface of your tub. You can find it in the marine area at Wal-Mart or wherever. I have had the same promblem.And trust me this stuff works
Civit Bang! The best bathroom cleaner known to man. Also works great on tile grout, lifted mine from yellow to bright white.
Try Tang or some other powederd orange citrus type drink mix.
you can use this stuff called :THE WORKS" and trust me it works very very well!! it actually removes ANY stains, they have toilet bowl works also, you can even use that in the tub.
Two products similar to cleanser have special rust-removing ingredients - Zud and Barkeepers Friend. You can usually find them at your local hardware store. Just sprinkle a little on a damp sponge and rub the stain. A little goes a long way!
I tried "CLR" (Calcium-Lime-Rust) cleaning liquid. it worked in my rusty bathroom!

Hydrogen Peroxide .. Besides being an antiseptic, it is also a bleach and so can be used for certain cleaning tasks. The bubbling action that occurs when it comes in contact with certain stains helps lift out stains in the same way that commercial foaming cleaners work. This is a cheaper way to go...Good Luck..
Buy some rust stain remover or buy some white pudding mix and this should eliminate the problem and have you tub white again.
