What is the best way to get out set in grease stains on shirts and pants?
Question:I have several shirts that one way or another have accumulated several grease spots that I've tried to remove. Zout, Tide, Spray and Wash spot stick, etc. Is there any other methods, home remedies or commercial ones, that y'all have found that works.?
Answers:
Use a regular kitchen degreaser like Fantastik, Formula 409, Mean Green or Easy-Off Bam. Spray it on, let it soak, then wash as usual. Inspect the area before drying as heat from the dryer will set the stain and make it nearly impossible to remove.
use tide again
I rub a waterless hand cleaner such as GoJo into the stained area Let it set for about 15 minutes, then wash as normal in warm water.
toothpaste
try rubbing baby powders into a fresh grease stain, a very generous amount let it work and then wash as normal, you can also try putting a little lighter fluid in the laundry water and letting it soak a bit, my husband is a mechanic, these methods work like magic, GOOD LUCK! : )
I clean it in the kitchen sink with dawn dish soap and then pretreat it with oxi clean. This works for me.
