How do you get tape of of a door without scratching the paint?
Question:there is this foam double sided tape that had a hook on the door, the hook fell of and i can't get the residue off the door, any suggestions on what can get it off?

spray it with wd 40 and let it soak
Soak it with Goo-Gone or use VM&P naphtha which you can get at the hardware store. Rub it off with a paper towel, the solvent will dissolve the adhesive without your needing to scrape.

heat from your blow dryer and water. rub the tape with water, soke it litely and then blow dry it and the tape will just come off
w-d 40, it will not stain, and it removes stuff ilke that, give it a try, u do have to use a rag with it. or sponge.
goo-gone works on everything... well almost but it's a good start.
