Plastic bristled scrub brush?

Question:We have a plastic bristled scrub brush for dishes, (It's probably a vegetable brush really.) But I VERY often clean it out and run it through the dishwasher. My roommate gets really upset by this, am I in the wrong?

Answers:
Why does your roommate get stressed by this? Yes. the brush needs to be cleaned on occasion. Just don't mention its cleaning day, and no one gets stressed!

I run the brush I use on dishes through the dishwasher, too. It's the only way I know to REALLY get it clean, shy of soaking it in pure bleach. Nothing wrong with it either. You put dirty dishes in the dishwasher, why not the scrub brush?!
