Yes, hairspray and denatured alcohol both works. Had some ink accident with my white cotton shirt and was able to clean it using hairspray. Below is an article I found that provides a step-by-step procedure in removing ink stain. Hope this helps!
I use Dawn Dish Detergent, I once washed a tube of lipstick with a load of clothes, and I just filled the washer again and put Dawn in the water and let set all day then just turned it one and when it finished there was no trace of lipstick or oily spots at all. Or rub with Orange hand cleaner.

Shout stain remover, it worked for me.
You can use rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and keep spraying it and dabbing it with a towel until it comes out. Do not dry your jeans until the stain is out completey. Good luck.
Getting fountain ink out from clothes is pretty easy. Spray the spot with hairspray. It should rub right out then launder by placing it through the wash as usual.
If you try the suggestion of someone using alcohol be careful do not put it in the clothes dryer unless you've washed that alcohol out! Otherwise you could have a fire in the dryer.
Pour denatured alcohol through stain. Rub in petroleum jelly. Sponge with nonÂflammable dry cleaning solvent. Soak in detergent solution. Wash with detergent and bleach safe for fabric Good Luck !
Rinse away as much of the ink as possible with cool, clean, running water. Then soak the residue stain in cow's MILK, which contains enzymes which will break down the ink. To finish off, wash the denim as usual.
