Ever used Merry Maids?

We used Merry Maids for a while. The trick is if you aren't thrilled with the service of the first person (or team) that comes, asks for someone different the next time. We found one that we loved, and we kept asking for her ONLY. Then when she left the service, she kept us as a client, and gave us a discount. We've had her for years now. I'd say it's a good way to try a bunch of different housekeepers from an easy-to-use single source, but don't assume everyone they send will be created equal. Also, I think they are a franchised chain, so probably each one will be a little bit different in terms of how they do things...teams, singles, whatever. Hope this helps, and good luck!
Yes. They said that they bring their own cleaners. I guess so because when they got to the next house they had all of our household cleaners.
This was a few years ago but I haven't trusted them since. Maybe they are ok now.
I used them once in Oregon. (portland area). They were horrible and promptly fired. It was for my Mothers house, who was recuperating from a broken hip. Her house is 2500 sq. ft. and they brought 2 people in that did it in 45 minutes. When I got home from work, they were already gone. There were dead flys in the window sills, the mirrors were streaked..you could tell they vacuumed around things and didn't even get close to the furniture, just hit the center of the floor. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone!
I had them when we lived in TX. They sent a team and so the house was cleaned quickly. They were much more efficient and thorough than I would have been.
