Does anyone know how to get rid of Mildew odor? items have been stored for over 20 years.?
Question:Old Family Pictures and an expensive accordian are the items I''m mostly concerned with.
Answers:
I recently had a whole bunch of old family pictures surface after many years. I took them out and laid them out on my dining room table and just let them air out for a few days. I wouldn't spray anything over them as it might injure the integrity of the photos. As for the accordion I would contact a music store. There is one on main street next door to the uniform shop at K street. One other place you might try is to contact an reputable antique dealer and ask them about the pictures and the accordion. The one thing I wouldn't do is when you get most of the musty smell out of the pictures is that when you display them I wouldn't put them in a place where they will get direct or too much sun.

-Uses advanced bio-enzyme technology to eliminate odors permanently by destroying the food source that odor causing bacteria feed on.
-Eliminates stubborn odors trapped in carpeting including undesirable smells caused by cats, dogs, food, smoke, and mildew.
-Use as a pre-treatment by itself or as an additive to the machine's cleaning mixture.
Stick them in a garbage with charcoal or kitty litter. I wouldn't let them touch it though. After a few days, check and change whatever you are using and redo if necessary.
