I want to clean my white tank top?
Question:but I want to do it by myself because whenever someone does wash, it never gets clean. How do I do it by myself?

put all dirty whites you have in washer
put bleach in there
close washer
set dial to white
push start button
wait
dry
wear
repeat

Hot water and bleach. Not too much bleach - it can turn your clothes yellow.
Soak in Nappy San. Also, there was a tip on TV recently - soak in warm water in which you have added 2 soluble aspirin.
You should wash it in cold water so it doesn't shrink. Also, use just a tiny amount of bleach to keep it white but seriously only use a really small amount. If you aren't going to wash it in the washing maching use cold water in the sink and use detergent nad a very very small amount of bleach just like you would in the wash. Then either dry it in the dryer or air dry it.
You should use a bleach pen or a stain stick like Tide To Go or Shout or Spay and Wash.
Regardless of what material it is, wash in sink with warm water with "Woolite" and add 1/4 cup bleach...let set for about 20 min. then rinse well with warm water until bleach smell is gone. p.s. make sure you scrub before adding bleach. Should come out nice and white!
You can try what my German host-family did;
The "mom" put my underwear in a big pot of water and boiled them on top of the stove with a little bleach for half a morning.
Then she washed them, let them dry and ironed (!) them.
When I told my mom, she asked, "My goodness! Does she have any hobbies?"
They were very clean but the labels fell off and the exposed glue itched so I had to wear them inside out.
Another option is to dye it blue, either wash it with some blue stuff that will fade on it, or buy laundry "bluing"
or regular dye.
But why go to so much trouble for a tank top?
Use detergent and washing soda, Borax, it will make things white.
theres a liquid soap called soilove leaves clothes really nice if you use bleach always to wash ur white clothes after time it will begin to look yellow.! i hate that but yeah try soilove it only costs like a dollar.! =)

try treating it with vanish first before you put it in to the washing machine
vanish is a cleaning product available in all supermarkets and it comes in sprays and 'soap' bars ect... to use before washing
then wash it in daz soap powder
If it has a label on it; just follow the washing instructions that will tell you how to wash it. If it is made of delicate material; you can hand wash it. Just use a little bit of Woolite in a pan/sink of cold water. Dunk it up and down a few times. Let is soak for ten minutes. Then rinse it out in cold water. After that wrap it up in a towel and gently wring it dry. Either hang to dry or lay it flat some where it can get plenty of air. If it is made of cotton and is just a regular tank top; you can put in the wash with your other light weight clothes. Along with a little bit of detergent. If your not sure what temperature to wash it in; just use the cold water setting. If your family uses liquid fabric softener; add it to the final rinse cycle (follow the instructions on the bottle). Or if they use dryer sheets just put one on top of the clothes after you put them in the dryer. If you dry it out in the dryer use a low-heat setting; or if not just hang to dry.
