Laundry Detergent? What's your favorite?
Question:Hey! What's your favorite brand of laundry detergent and why? Also do you prefer liqued or powder?
Liqued Tide cleans the best in my opinion but nothing is like Gain in powder. My clothes smell fresh months later!
Answers:
I prefer Cheer. I have a ton of dark clothing and it really helps with fading.
Gain is good too though. I do love how my clothes smell when I use it.
I like liquid because it never leaves the powder residue if I overfill the washer. Lately I have been liking the Apple Mango Tango because it smells good. They all clean about the same, in my opinion.
My mother always used Duz (a powder; I don't know if it's on the market anymore). I was introduced to Tide years ago by my then new husband, and I've stuck with liquid Tide ever since. Sometimes I get the one with bleach, sometimes I get the one without. I think the powdered is for hot water, but these days I prefer washing clothes in medium or cold wash so the liquid is best to use. I also use Woolite for delicates, for hand washing cotton blend suits, and for lightly cleaning my rug..
tide with febreeze
I love liquid Gain...smells great and gets your clothes clean...=)
Gain normally and Cheer for dark colors
My wife won't allow anything but Cheer in our house. I've learned to live with it - my house was a Tide household growing up. It doesn't really matter to me. They're both P&G brands, and we live in Cincinnati, so I feel we're helping our friendly neighborhood multinational corporation either way.
I love All - Small and Mighty. It is great getting 32 loads out of one easy to handle bottle. I use the Free Clear due to sensitive skin, but the Fresh Rain smells great and I wish I could use it. Of course the odor of nothing but clean smells pretty good too.
My favorite is an old fashioned recipe, of grated fels naptha, borax, and arm n hammer washing soda. My laundry comes super clean and there is no soap residue. AND it is excellent for people with sensitive skin, as it is all natural.
