How do you keep dust/lint off of hardwood floors?
Question:I tried differnt wax.
Answers:
Make sure your air filters are changed often, and windows are shut, and rugs are placed in front of all doors. Dust your house very good too. First approch is to stop the dust from coming in.
I have good luck with the swifter sweepers.
We create dust and lint 24/7. It's impossible to prevent it. I dust mop every day and damp mop when I can. There is no getting around it I'm afraid.
I have this problem big time! The only thing I can suggest is to invest in one of these Swifters and go over your floors each day to keep dust to a minimum.
Its extremely hard, a couple ways to reduce it is to get your hvac ducts cleaned and or get a dust collector attached to your furnace
Don't wax your hardwood floors! That will only serve to make them slippery. Dust and lint is clearly going to happen. You need to dust weekly, that's it. If they get dirty, I find that using a swiffer (not the kind that sprays but the wet ones in the container) works. It cleans beautifully and does not damage or strip my floor. There are wood floor cleaners, but I think they are all too strong. Good luck
Get a Swiffer sweeper, and use it everyday. They work great!
Damp mop occasionally too. That's about all you can do...
you really cant control. we have to many things in the air and way to much dust and allergens. forget keeping it perfectly clean. use a less bright light and its hardly noticeable.
