What is the best product for getting out grass and red dirt stains?
Question:My son plays baseball and I have a terrific time getting stains out of his ball uniform. I also was wondering what water temperature works best when laundering stained clothing? Please tell me where I can purchase the products you suggest and if you pre-treat and for how long. thanks!

When my brother and I were in sports my mom used auto dish soap to get red dirt and grass stains out of our white pants ! I use the same method for my son and it seems to work for me ! Just soak the stain for a bit then scrub out you may need to do this several times depending on the stain then launder . Good luck
I have found that soaking them in oxyclean for a day or so usually helps but from time to time I found traces of where the stain was. I then launder them using warm water.
Sponge washable fabric with water. Then sponge the stain with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Do not use alcohol on silk or wool. Dilute the alcohol a lot (three parts water to one part alcohol) for acetate.
Sponge with cool water, then work liquid detergent into the stained area. Rinse with water. Let dry.
the stain remains, soak the fabric in a mixture of 1 qt. warm water and 1 tbsp. stain-removing enzyme product for 30 to 60 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and re-launder in hot water, with a bleach that's safe for the fabric.
Bleach with hydrogen peroxide as a last resort.
I've had very good luck in getting stains out with Era. I apply the liquid directly to the stain and let it sit for a while, then wash in cold water with Arm & Hammer detergent. I keep the Era strictly for stain removal because A&H does a great job and is cheaper.
