What is the best way to removed the egg odor on my dishes?
Question:I have try all the diswashing soaps but not matter how much times I wash the dishes they still smell like eggs. What can I do?
Answers:
Use the juice from a lemon as a rinse - or vinegar. Either of these are natural deodorizers. Just remember to rinse with water.
Lemon juice or vinegar can usually cut any odor..
let is sit in soap hot water, or just buy a new dish.
Have you tried the dish soaps with bleach alternative? Cascade makes a great one for dishwashers (it looks like a little pouch with 1/2 Cascade and 1/2 liquid bleach alternative), and if you have a "sanitize" setting, try that along with a rinse aid like Jet Dry. That combination should be able to cut through the smell, though are you sure it's not a problem with your water? Some areas have a high sulfur content in the tap water, which smells like eggs.
Put them in the sink.
Add hot water.
Add fairy liquid (Lemon's my favourite)
Et voila! No eggy smell, just like you never get when you actually wash the dishes.
Soak them in bleach, scub them, then wash with clean water with a fragrant dish soap. Good luck.
try making a baking soda paste w/ a lil water and dish soap... then let it set overnight.
Vinegar is good too!
you have to use lemon juice or white vingegar
I've always added plain old ammonia to my dishwater and let them soak while I was cleaning the table and counters and generally straightening up the kitchen, then washed the dishes.no egg smell left and the easy part of "doing the dishes" was all that was left...the washing.
They are glass or ceramic?Try soaking them in water that has vinegar in it,then just let them air dry.I would call the manufacture about that smell,I have never heard of a egg smell.Your water?
