Cleaning the oven?
Question:Anyone got any good tips for cleaning the oven, anything that makes it a little easier!

Oven Cleaner!

In the past I have used oven spray and let it sit overnight. Should be able to wipe right off the next day. Now I have a selfcleaning oven and love it.
Easy Off... just spray it on and leave. When you come back you just have to wipe it up and the oven is shiny and clean.
Call in OvenU or Cookerburra or somebody like that. It will cost about £45 and, in my view, every penny well spent.

Bleach i use that is really good on grease .
I have had to use all methods over the years.
Elbow grease- one person didn't want me to use anything but fels naptha and old rags- took total of ten hours. I never went back
Ammonia water- be prepared to leave house for 8 hours. Pre-heat oven 250. turn off. place oven proof bowl that you use only for this with 1 cup ammonia water in it, put on middle shelf. close door. go to work , shop, whatever- after 8 hours you should be able to wipe it out.
Oven cleaners- I always liked easy off- still left the house and opened windows- hate those fumes. But easy off has worked on ovens- stove drip pans- stuck food and stainless steel sinks that SOME people never clean until I show up and then I have to do it.. The sink was BROWN.
Now I have a self cleaning oven - and guess what- Hardly ever use it- only steam veggies on stove top. don't have time for baking.

I wait till after supper and the oven is cool and then spray a good oven cleaner quite heavily. I alway's lay old news paper under neath in case it makes a mess during the night. Then the next morning you clean it out well and you have a nice clean oven with out using a lot og elbow grease
