How do I get a throw up smell out of my jersey?

Question:Ok so I got sick and threw up. But the thing was is that I didn't get any on the jersey I was wearing. But I can still smell the stench on it from like a month or 2 ago. I have some ideas on how to get it out, but I really do not want to damage my jersey in any way because I paid good money for it. Does anybody have any ideas??

Answers:
soak it in a pan of water that has vinegar in it.Then just let it air dry.once it dries the smell will be gone..

FEBREEZE!
Wash it regularly but use a scoop of oxy clean. That will get it out.
Try hand washing it. It is a lot more gentle than your washing machine.
Try soaking it in 'soda water' for two days ... and 'change the water' every 6 hours during the day (but not at night, just 'let it sit' overnight until the next morning) ... and then 'wash it' as usual in the washing machine. The 'stench' that you are smelling is 'acid' from your stomach that got into your 'sweat' and soaked your jersey ... and the 'soda water' (yes, the BUBBLY KIND from the grocery store) is 'alkali' and will 'neutralize' that acid left in your jersey.
when you wash the jersey next time, put ammonia in with the wash, rinse it twice
