Why isn't my Kenmore dryer drying?

Question:I have a pretty old Kenmore dryer (maybe 6yrs old). It runs ok, blows air, but no heat. Why is it running like there is no problem, but only blowing cold air? It is an electric dryer.

Answers:
One of three problems 1 your heating element is bad (most likely) 2 your exhaust duct is clogged. This causes the dryer to think it's to hot and will not let the element to heat up. 3 the breaker is bad or bad connection in the breaker panel. This will allow the dryer to spin and blow but not allow the element to heat. Try this once you have fixed your problem.. Add a dry towel or two in the dryer to speed the drying time. This will save you $$$$.

The heating element is probably gone...it needs replaced. call around to a parts store, give them the year and model and ask how much it costs, if you think you can or know someone that can do the job for free. Or, compare the cost of replacing it, with the cost of a new dryer, and its savings, spread over the amount of time you think you will own the new dryer.
heating eliment
buy the front loaders they're nearly maintenance free long over do for a upgrade sounds like
Mabey it's broke or your just nou setting it right??
you could have a couple things to check first the easy 1 is make sure the vent is cleaned not only on the dryer but the hose that takes it out of the house could be plugged the other thing is it could very well be the dryer element is burned out you can look up the model on sears website and find the parts needed to replace the element its not a hard job to change but if you have no mechanical knowledge leave it to someone that can help you.
