What is your motivation for cleaning?

Question:WHat gets you going when your place needs some scrubbing?

Answers:
Just the satisfaction of knowing how clean my home will be & how great it will smell with the scent of cleaning products I use. I always keep my home clean, picked up, & smelling nice (burning apple cinnamon candles) so when someone pops in unexpectedly, I won't be ashamed of how my home looks & smells.

Whenver I clean I just think of how relieved I will be when I am done and how nice things will look. Also, if you want to pla music while you do it, that will also get you going. Use your imagination!
I ask myself this question quite often and the answer is that I prefer to live in a clean home, even if no one else in my family seems to care.
I love how I feel when the house is clean and it is one less thing on my mind. Plus having family over makes me clean when I dodn't feel that motivated.
Honestly? When I find out we will be having guests. (Sad but true, LOL.)
When I get completely unmotivated to clean my house - I invite someone over. That way I have a reason for my house to be spotless. haha. I know that is stupid, but it has always seemed to work for me.
hello meet the aunt,
when I clean I would listen to music
I would just get the cleaning no complaining
I would remember afew things the work won't do itself.
I would first look what has to be done and say mmmmm
where should I start.
not wanting to live in filth!! if you keep up with your cleaning then it doesn't pile up and you won't have so much to do (when you have visitors). my mom always told me your house should always be ready for visitors. it doesn't have to be spotless but you should never be embarrassed if you have a person just "drop by"!
Company!! Especially in-laws or people I want to impress. lol

You know what else, I am a little weird this way, but when I'm in the hospital, sometimes they give me narcotics for my condition (hate them, btw) and some people they make sleepy.. me? no, they make me get up out of my ICU bed and tidy everything hahaha.. I know I'm crazy, but it's just way too much nervous energy and I'm not used to it. Wish I had some of that when spring cleaning comes around. I'd have my whole block cleaned out in a week! ;)
Health and happiness. Filth and clutter breed and can congest not only your home but your life. Besides, maintaining a clean home is a heck of a lot easier than cleaning a dirty mess. So I guess, laziness too!
I love to clean it makes me a happy camper. With all the stress of life one has to deal with all day long . I think having a nice clean house for you and other's in your family makes a nice calm peaceful place to relaxe and enjoy yourselves.
I love the feeling when it's done, although I hate the process of doing it.
I prefer doing the cleaning when no one else is home. That way I can either turn on the music I like really loud and sing with it (I'm a terrible singer!!) or I leave the music off and just get lost in my thoughts. Either way it makes the time pass quicker and I can get a lot done.
Watching "How clean is your house" does it for me.WHOA those people are PIGS!!! I surely don't want mine to get to that state!
