Any tips on cleaning a woodburning stove?

If you mean the creosote inside the stove we used a wire brush .
A woodburning stove should never need cleaning. When you are done with it, in the spring, polish with any stove polish, and vacuum all the other surfaces.. If you need to clean the cooking surface, use a large piece of waxed paper, after the fire has gone down.

If the stove has a warming shelf, remove it and take it outside. Stuff, gently, newspaper in it and set them on fire. This removes the creosote that may have built up because of the lower temp's you needed to cook with.
If you go to a shop which specialises in that type of stove, you can buy a cleaner especially for that purpose. It is especially good on the glass doors.
