Dishwasher problem?

Question:How does a dishwasher work? Mine ejects the tablet from the hatch about 5 minutes into the cycle into the bottom of the cabinet. Is this what it`s meant to do? Also the tablet doesn`t always disolve. It`s only a couple of months old.

yes it is meant to eject the tablet, after a few moments this is normal, sometimes my tablets dont always disolve i do not know why but i run the wash again without putting in a new tablet.and use a hotter wash.
