Cleaning burn marks on outside of oven door?
Question:I have a rather cheap and nasty electric oven, and the manufacturers suggest leaving the door open whilst the grill is on to prevent overheating. However repeated use has meant that there are brown scorch marks up the front of the oven, where the knobs are. I have tried most forms of cleaner, and the old vinegar and baking soda trick but nothing appears to work. I think the front may actually be slightly burnt. Any ideas will be welcome!
Answers:
Use a little windex and clorox magic eraser and a little elbow grease when burnt or scratch marks are removed use a little Armor-All car wax this will bring back shine & protect your oven and stove surface and the next time cleanup will be a snap.
Try Rubbing Compound. It works wonders. You can buy it at most auto parts stores in the waxes and polishes section. It is designed to remove scratces from cars etc.
Another suggestion - Mr Clean Eraser.
