Try baby oil. Or try heating it back up and pouring as much as you can in the garbage; definitely not down the drain it would probably clog the pipes.
I would set the pot in very hot water. After the wax starts to release take a paper towel and wipe out the excess. Throw paper towel in trash and wash your pan as normal. Next time use a potpori pot or pan from a rumage sale. Okay.
really hot water and fairy liquid. perhaps leave it to soak then scrub it off
fill it with water and wait for it to boil, that way it melts the wax again!
