Can you machine wash bath mats?

Question:

Answers:
Yes you can, but I would not recommend putting them in the dryer for two reasons: First, if they have rubber backing, they will dry out and flake off. Secondly, the rubber backing will heat up and make the rest of your laundry or your dryer smell like melted rubber.

Check the tag for confirmation - I always wash bath mats. I try & hang them to try to save on the backing.

If you are talking about a mat in the bathtub, as opposed to one next to the tub that you use to step on when you get out - I would throw that in the washer too - probably with some white vinegar.
Yes, they come out very nice. Wash them with towels and light rugs.
Sure just wash them with some towels and air dry.
Yes, I just washed mine last night, gentile cycle.
I would leave the bathmat in the tub and clean it with your hands. Use a brush and some Ajax powder.
