I have a nasty black ring in the toilet .How ..?
Question:...do I get rid of it without scrubbing ?
Answers:
Buy a new toilet.
Bleach (you might still have to scrub, though, you can't get away from that)
bleach or buy a new one!
iron remover, not sure of the name of it, comes in a brown bottle and you can get it at any hardware store.
u have to use clorox brand bleach>< it really works, no need for scrubbing jst flush it and its all clean, but a little scrubbing would make it better><
last thing at night squeeze bleach round the rim and leave overnight
Years ago I discovered an easy way. Pour half a quart of bleach in the toilet and then line the surface of the water with toilet paper. This will allow the water line to rise above the stain by the action of osmosis. Let it be overnight and in the morning flush the toilet and it will be sparkling clean. Happy cleaning, Plunge Bob !
Even if you let the Bleach sit in the toilett it won't take it out . First use clorox Toilet cleaner and then use the Lime Away and let sit on there . Sounds like iron deposits . usually happens if you are using well water. When you got the toilet clean then drop one of those Bleach tabletts into the water tank . that will help avaoiding a new black ring in the toilet.
you can wash it or put it some water and let soack
well im assuming lysol toilet bowl cleaner mixed with boiled water and good old clorox bleach in a bottle that u can spray out of u may spray some on it and it will go away in like 2 hous but that i think is the only way without scrubbing

Oven cleaner, leave for 30 mins and flush.
However with the above said link 2 is fabulous. what a site. Its amazing what people find to publish on the Internet :O)
Fantastic Toilet Bowl Cleaner. I swear by that stuff! I live in the country and our well has very hard water so I'm constantly fighting very bad stains in my toilet. Fantastic Toilet Bowl cleaner takes even the worst stains right out. All you have to do is just drain the bowl, squirt on the cleaner (make sure all surfaces on the inside are covered) and let it sit for about five minutes. If the stain is very bad you may have to repeat that once or twice.
ETA: Please don't listen to anyone that tells you to use oven cleaner on your toilet bowl. The oven cleaner can heat up to the point that it will crack your toilet.
Hire a maid. Or, use a toilet brush and bleach (sodium hypochlorite). The cheap brands are just as good as the expensive ones since it's a chemical compound rather than some special formula. Powdered cleaners that contain bleach, such as Comet or Ajax, work well too and provide some abrasiveness.
Whatever you do, don't mix bleach with ammonia; it produces a toxic gas that can kill you.
It sucks not living with mom anymore, doesn't it. At least when it comes to household chores.
leave bleach on overnight.
