How do you remove fecal/poo stains from laundry?
Question:I have a 4 year old that's been potty trained for the last year but unfortunately he sometimes forgets the toilet paper part of being potty trained. If I just threw away his underwear we'd be going through a three pack a week. I am sure you mothers and fathers out there have had a similar experience so please tell me the best way to remove these stains. Thank you so much! :)

Try washing them in Tide, pre- treat the stain with "Shout"
and add a scoop of "Oxy Clean". if that doesn't make those Bacon Strips Surrender, you might try dieing all of them his favorite color, or just buy new ones. Good luck,papa
Rinse the poop off as best as you can and then spray the area with some sort of spot cleaner, whatever is available in your country. Let it stay on there over night. Wash to see if it came out. Don't put in dryer or it will set, just respray. Be sure to HELP your little guy wipe himself! He's only 4. I still help my 5 year old whenever she poops! Then you'll know there won't be any poop on the underwear.
Folex carpet cleaner...sounds crazy but this stuff is the most awesome stain spray ever. I have found it at Home Depot. It's amazing on carpets and laundry. Spray directly on the stain. I have also just simple added it to a load of laundry. A little bit goes a long way. I got red kool aid out of a white sweater...It's the best.
i have found the shout stick works the best. i'd keep a separate one for this though, and really dig it into the fibers. let the undies soak in the washer for awhile in hot water, maybe overnight, then in the morning, wash them.
Well, I don't have children, however, I have worked in a mentally disabled facility where this issue was a big problem. We would first remove any debris and spray the soiled area with Shout! If the underwear is white (or you don't care if it gets ruined) we would always soak them in water with bleach and little fabric softener. The bleach will kill any germs and help whiten the underwear while the softener helps freshen the garments. If all else fails you may want to invest in stocks for toddler underwear! Good luck to you!
Sounds gross but take the undies and run cold water over them and use a little soap and rewash them.The stain will come right out.Rub the soap in and rinse out.If you plan on not washing right away,then once rinsed reapply the soap and leave it on the undies.I washed diapers for my kids and i know how it goes...
I have a small child and a mother that just had a stroke a few years ago. I know this answer. I rinse them in the sink and if I can put bleach on the clothing I do. I do pretreat with oxi clean and that works wonders. It also gets pee stains out of underware.
