What is the best method for cleaning glass shower doors?
Question:We use a squeege after every use to get water off the doors and then every week, I wipe them down with CLR but it doesn't really seem to clean and the glass gets foggy.
Answers:
Any of the ideas these OP had will work great at getting it clean. The trick is to keep it that way. After you get it clean, get some car wax, any ole brand will do, and wax it. The water and soap run right off.
lysol
it's tough to get the water stains out. You could try using scrubbing bubbles or windex.
Scrub them every so often with Comet. Rinse them and dry with a good towel, they will shine guaranteed.
Try white vinegar mixed with water (50/50). Also use newpaper to do the wiping. It is rough enough to pull off hard water stains.
first scrub it with a sponge and use Scrubbing Bubbles. then when you get done scrubbing the shower door, rinse it off and then wipe it off with some windex.
When you use CLR or another cleaner, you have to scrub it using a brush or sponge (the blue one is sturdy enough and scratch free)
It takes a lot of snarling and scrubbing to get soap scum off glass. Windex won't work, so I use Scrub Free in a well ventilated room.
Buy Method clear shower spray from Target. The shower never gets dirty now. The refills come in 1/2 gallon bottles and no more SCRUBBING.
Shower curtain inside the glass door, saves a lot of cleaning.
Use the shower curtain, and leave the door slid open, you'll have less to clean. You will have to wipe it all down with disinfectant, although you won't be scrubbing all day, and using two cleaners. Every so often disinfect the shower curtain inside all the way down, wipe down, rinse, and towel dry. Don't clean this much every week, unless you can afford a maid service.
I've been told by several people that" Scrubbing Bubbles "works the best. I have not tried it but plan on doing so. Let us know if this works!
There is a cleaner called Barkeepers Friend. It works like magic. Use it once a month or as it starts to build up.
use lemon oil. works with no effort.
Use a sponge called White Magic. Contact me if you cant find them.
