I own a set of Whirlpool Duet washer & dryer. My Towles stink!?

Question:I'm supposed to be able to wash something like 12 towles at once. I wash less, and I still have a problem with them smelling still dirty. I use the correct detergent, amount and correct fabric softener and amount of that. Anyone else?

run a load of just bleach and nothing else, no clothes nothing. If that doesn't try a load of baking soda only. If it's just your towels try adding baking soda to the towels when you are washing them, the towels may be the problem.
