How to get rid of stain on clothing?
Question:Can someone please tell me how to get rid of an oil stain that's already set? Also, I need to know how to get rid of a stain from a black pastel that won't seem to go away. Thanks in advance!
Answers:
I have successfully used a paste made of Dawn dishsoap and baking soda. I let it sit for a few hours and laundered as usual. It worked on an oil stain that had been "set" for months.
Shout at it.
if the stain's already set .. oooops! Try applying some corn flour on it for a few minutes. then apply some detergent on it directly and handwash it under a running tap for a minute or more. hope this helps
Put a little bit of baby powder on the stain (just enough to cover it without leaving excess). Put a towel over the baby powder and iron it. It should get it out
Fire usually works pretty good. Just toss the article of clothing in a roaring inferno and leave it in for about 10 minutes. Should be good as new.
If that doesn't work, you are probably screwed. You may be able to get the stain out with chemicals, but even if you do get the color of the oil out, the texture where the oil was will always be different than the rest of the article, and chances are you will end up doing more damage to the area trying to remove the stain.
Try dawn dish soap. It is a degreaser and gets a lot of stains out of cloths.
try hand cleaner that the guys use to clean there hands after working on the cars.
Try Stain Devils
To get ink stains out of my clothes I use Thieves. So far it's worked everytime. If you want to check it out go to www.moldrx4u.com
