What is good to clean tile floors with ? I no that you cant use bleach because of the grout!?
Question:I need something that you can put in mop water to give the room a good smell but wont hurt the color of grout!
Answers:
most of the time I use Vinegar water. But, every once in a while I use a little powdered Dreft laundry detergent in water. It does a great job on those tough spots. Oh, and I'll burn a "Glade" vanilla candle
Lemon.
im not sure how to spell it but peroxicide is suppose to be really good. i actually just got an email bout this the other day and it said thats what hospitals use since bleach is bad.
you can use swifer it is like a broom with a sticky bottom
I love Pine Sol.
Any household disinfectant will work, depends on the smell you want, lemon to pine it's your choice.
Just don't use too much and rinse it well.
I use a rope mop and plastic bucket with a wringer insert: both are very cheap.
Hot water with laundry soup (we use the granulated kind but I suppose it doesn't matter if you have liquid) for the wash and then a couple clear warm water rinses and I've noticed that it leaves floors and room smelling fresh and clean.
I've used the same on toilets (inside and out) with good results (Only inside the toilet I've added a few drops of bleach before scrubbing and then rinsing plus flushing a number of times. to get rid of all traces of bleach.)
