Carpet vacuums?

Question:i have an area rug that has some stains and i need to get it cleaned i dont know any thing about carpets!
so whats a great way to clean up old stains and in affordable price. any vacuums that is less the 100 will be great and if cheaper even better

Get some foam carpet cleaner,spray the rug and go over it with a damp mop. Let it dry then vacuum. Good Luck! =)
