I use shout for almost anything and it works great
Not sure if this will work but you can try... what about using a liquid dish soap, like Dawn, since it cuts grease it may work in your laundry. Just remember that laundry soap dosen't lather much, and dish soap does, so you will not need much. Good luck.
There is a product called simple green. it has to be mixed with water but it works great. Even works on tile floor to get them clean.

My husband is a machniac and was in the military. I clean all his clothes. I use hot water on all his work clothes with laundry soap, oxi clean and some times I use backing soda. (Backing soda because it takes the smell out of things and it's a natural odor remover.)
