How do you get rid of cockroaches for good?

Question:

Answers:
It depends upon the level of infestation. I have seen homes that had to be abandoned because the home was so infested that it was not fit for man nor beast. However, I doubt that is what you are talking about.

Getting rid of cockroaches is a multi-layered task. I'm a property manager and when I see there is an infestation, this is what I do:
1) Bug bombs - one for each room. (make sure you read the directions and put on a mask) I bomb once a week until they are gone (usually 2 weeks but sometimes up to a month). This may sound radical - but it really works to get the adults and the babies as they hatch.
2) Check water sources: Make sure your plumbing is all good - they tend to congregate around water sources.
3) Keep your house clean and free of clutter and don't allow food anywhere but living room/dining area. A dirty house does not cause roach infestations, but once there is an infestation, they hide in the clutter.
3) Roach Proof: Check the bottom of your refrigerator (on the outside) - they love the warmth and there is usually some moisture there. Put roach proof on the bottom of the outside of your frig and behind your frig. I also put roach proof behind the stove and under sinks.
4) Buy electric repellents. They sell the kind that are plugged into the wall and then radiate throughout all the elcectiral sockets. These work great!

I hope this helps and you win your war against those pesky creatures!

Buy:
a new house.
burn the house.

Its virtually impossible to guarantee that the roaches won't come back

powdered Borax works well

Keeping the place clean helps too.

I spray the perimeter of the house with Spectracide Home Defense insecticide to help reduce the bugs entering.
Move to a different neighborhood.
And this time, don't leave food lying around!
you need to contact the exterminator..these critters are a pain in the azz..hard to get rid of..they can live a month or so on a crumb of food..theya lso get inside your furniture..stereos..tv's etc...any place its warm and stays warm..they can be brought in from sacks from grocery stores.. people visiting you that have them etc... they can last for months in the cold... the exterminator will def., get rid of them..this may take time..because if you see 1..theres usually 100 more.. good luck
Pay to have Orkin come to your home. You can check out what there policy's are about them coming back and if you have to pay for it again if the roaches come back. If you live in an apartment then you'll always have them if you already got them. People moving in and out of the apartment building bring them with them.
I had the same problem with you till a friend of my parents that is specified on killing cockroaches (he works in a company) brought me a gel named ''Goliath Cockroach gel rb '' made by ''BASF'' he placed it at some places the cockroaches used to pass through and in some few days i was surprise i did not see them any more. When i asked him how does it do the job he told me that, the gel is like a food for the cockroaches .but when they eat it the die after some few seconds and their egg too. You can apply it all alone if you want if you can find the same gel then buy another Cockroach gel.But its better to call a specialist to do it for you just tell him to disinfect your house with the gel don't worry cause it doesn't cost too much money!!
STOP feeding them!
An Exterminator
