Take a sharp knife and scrap the edge of the pages. [shave it off]
nail polish remover.. they call it acetone..
use white out on the outside pages of your book
my algebra teacher once made us sand the sides of our books to get the pencil, pen, etc marks off.
i think u haven't to get it out by water or alcohol.
Maybe u can get it out by close your book with white paper and write your name there.
