I would suggest washing it in the washing machine as you do your clothes, but when you put it in the dryer (if you choose to do that) put in two dryer sheets and some tennis balls. Washing can clump up the stuffing, but if you dry it with three or so tennis balls, they work the clumps out so your pillow will return to it's more normal shape. Good luck!
No washer, take to dry cleaner, pay through nose. You might try the new dry cleaning system you put in your own dryer, Consumer Reports liked it.
Recently my room mate tried to get her pillow dry-cleaned but the cleaners said that pillows don't dry out completely that easily, so they threw it out instead of bothering with it. So I don't know if you can... I mean you probably can put it in the washer but getting it dry might be a real pain
LOVE your avatar by the way <333
My husband did. He crammed them right on in there. So, I learned that you can, indeed. I guess if they're too big they won't fit.
Pillows need a regular washing at 60 deg. to kill bacteria etc. and yes, put them in your washer I do.
it depends on the filling. if you have down feathers, NO! i spray mine with lysol and put in the dryer with a dryer sheet for about 30min. on high. kills all the germs and smells fresh.
Yes, you can wash the fiberfill pillows--old fashioned feather pillows, no you cannot. Pillows do take a long time to dry, however. I recommend taking them to a laundromat where they have the bigger washers/hotter dryers to get them done faster/more effectively.
I've heard and read that it's not a good idea; some labels even say not to, but I always have! Don't use much detergent and make sure they are dried thoroughly! In between times I just spray the pillow with fabric deodorizer lightly and toss in the dryer. Poof! They're great! I've even done this with my feather pillows. I guess the only one I haven't washed yet is the newly purchased "memory foam" one; will have to see how it's to be cleaned, probably professionally.
my mom washes pillows. yea u can put them in the washer.
NO! DON'T LISTEN TO ANYBODY ELSE!
You can wash your pillows it just takes forever for them to dry.
I've been washing my pillows for a long time. Always wash two at a time to keep the washer balanced and they do take a long time to dry, so best to wash them early in the day. I really like to dry them in the dryer a little while, then hang them out in the sun to finish drying. Just seems to make them smell better.
