Daughter washed red scarf with white/other color work shirt, it turned pink, How do we reverse this?

Been there about two months ago, only with some very expensive cloth place mats.
I went out and bought Oxy Spray and Oxy Powder. First I sprayed the mats in excess and let them sit for about one hour. Then I filled a sink tub with in excess Oxy Powder and very cold water. I let the mats soak for two days only stirring once in a while. Washed in the washer on cold cycle with Tide, and Oxy Powder and I was amazed that they came out as white as a ghost :)
Good Luck..
bleach it to white
You don't .. Enjoy your pink shirt. Dye stains are almost imposable to remove.
RIT makes a product that will take the dye out without having to bleach it. You can get it at any Wal Mart or K Mart. It's in the laundry ails.
I'm afraid you probably cant. If the garment is cotton, you could try putting it in bleach/water mix. But you will have to make sure garment is opened up with no folds.Otherwise it will come out patchy. Best idea would be to renew shirt.
The whites can be bleahed to return to white, but as for the rest, nothing much can be done, just have to like pink
Dear Stacey;
When my daughter had red dye on her white sweater, I soaked it in a solution of polident and warm water just until the stain disappeared, and then I rinsed it in cool water. It came out beautifully! Good Luck.
