What type of bleach will turn my tan shorts white?
Question:I have tan shorts and I want them to be white so they can match my shoes and all. What bleach do u suggest is the best that can turn shorts that are close to white, white?

Bleaching your shorts untill they are white will cause the fabric to become brittle and ruin them.
Nothing is going to work like that. Bleach will just cause a splotched look. It won't bleach evenly. It would probably be better to leave them like they are.
Why don't you just buy white shorts? Isn't there only one bleach? Clorox? You can also buy this stuff at Home Depot or wherever called Iron Out. I killed may colored clothes with this stuff...it's takes Iron out of your water that makes it yellowish..but it's like a bleach too.

I don`t know if they still make purex but that would do it! I used to bleach my dark levis with purex and they would come out like faded ones..try cascade dish washing soap.
Check and see if they still have purex bleach!
I used to do all my levis to fade them with purex. Try cascade dish soap for dishwashers.
Add about a cup to your clothes washer and fill it with warm water and let agitate before adding your shorts!
